Humanoid AI Robots

Business // Humanoid AI Robots

Humanoid robots are robots that resemble humans in shape and mimic human movements and interactions. Their main purpose is to automate tasks to help humans save time and energy, thus leading to productivity and cost savings. The humanoid robots developed a few years ago could be stubborn and clumsy. They struggled with simple human tasks such as walking, opening doors, and grabbing objects. However, at present, humanoid robots are able to do most human tasks such as running, jumping, moving and throwing objects, and performing household chores (Nenchev et al). These humanoid robots use artificial intelligence which provides sufficient computer vision and satisfactory motion control.

Humanoid AI robots are helpful to humans and can be used in many different environments and settings. Based on their features and capabilities, these are my strategies to best use humanoid AI robots:

Personal Assistance

Humanoid robots are now more reliable and efficient; hence I would make good use of them in my daily life. Robot personal assistants can help with domestic chores such as cleaning, doing the laundry, and cooking. These robots are self-navigating and can perform myriad routine tasks that take a lot of time and effort to accomplish, which helps save time and energy. They also relieve humans of their daily responsibilities, help reduce stress, and make everyday life more convenient. Humanoid robots that serve as personal assistants have unique features such as face tracking, mobile control, autonomous navigation, powerful sound display, and a high-quality camera (Ficht and Behnke).

Because of their advanced navigation capabilities, robot personal assistants can be useful for home monitoring. They can monitor rooms through remote alert systems and alert homeowners when someone unfamiliar comes into their house. Utilizing these humanoid AI robots at home can provide security and also give users peace of mind.

Education

Humanoid AI robots empower both teaching and learning. As a student, I will use them to learn how to code with multifaceted technologies such as artificial intelligence, object tracking, machine learning, and speech recognition. Though robotic teachers do not have the energy, enthusiasm, and emotions traditional teachers have, they can perform duties faster and more efficiently, especially repetitive ones. They can also store more information and are not capable of being tired or burned out. Students with autism can also benefit from robotic teachers through play-based learning and custom educational plans that match the students’ language, social, and cognitive skills.

Entertainment

Humanoid AI robots can provide entertainment in spaces and events. They can entertain humans through dancing, gestures, and smart interactions. These robots are smart and friendly and can help businesses provide customers with a unique brand experience. Because these humanoid robots run on cloud-based artificial intelligence, they can recognize faces and understand people’s moods. They can communicate in multiple languages and analyze customer interactions. Their emotional analysis capabilities can help businesses understand their customers more and identify points for improvement.

Healthcare

AI-enabled humanoid robots can be beneficial in the healthcare setting. They can help with a myriad of tasks such as cleaning and disinfection, patient monitoring, information dissemination, and social engagement with patients. Some humanoid AI robots can perform tasks similar to nurses without stress and exhaustion. They also help uphold safety in the workplace by performing difficult tasks such as lifting patients and moving hospital beds. Surgical robots are now used to assist doctors during surgeries. Robotic surgery does not only lead to greater precision, control, and flexibility in surgeries but it also helps reduce infection risks and promotes faster recovery (Hasse et al.)

Today, humanoid AI robots are used for different purposes in numerous settings and if we take advantage of their capabilities and use them accurately, we can reap all the advantages and rewards that this new technology has to offer.
