The Best Nightlife Areas in Kata Beach
The Kata Beach is interconnected with the south of Patong and northern end of Karon Beaches, although it is smaller than those two. It is also divided into two stunning beaches, the Kata Yai and the smaller Kata Noi. Kata beach has crystal clear bluish shallow water, safer and perfect for swimming. The deeper part of the north end is perfect for snorkeling and diving with varieties of fishes and coral reef (Brown, 2013), there are also several restaurants and bars in the southern part of Kata Beach with live entertainment and music as nightlife in Kata beach.
Some of the best nightlife areas of Kata beach include the REKATA Beach on Koktanod Road; it has a fashionable and modern interior with good food, drinks and sounds. The Ska Bar Rastafarian theme features the best reggae, hip-hop and rhythm and blues while drinking. It is tucked in the giant boulders at the very south end of Kata. The Dino Mini Golf still operates at night, bringing back visitors to prehistoric adventure and exciting sports and fun activities. These are just some of the best nightlife in Kata Beach, but there are lots more (Phuket.com, 2015).
From Phuket Airport getting to best nightlife areas in Kata Beach is the same with getting to Patong and Karon, they can choose a standard car or taxi for about 850 to 950 Baht. It takes about half an hour ride. They can also select the public or local buses in Phuket Airport; bus is basically the cheapest way to travel from different beaches in Phuket. This will only cost 50 Baht per trip. They also have a regular route from Phuket down to different beaches and its blue color is easy to recognize (Phuket.com, 2015).
The best nightlife areas in Kata Beach open around 9:00 pm and close about 1:00 to 2:00 pm. Some of the beaches in Phuket are still haunted by the ghost of tsunami last 2004; there are still reports that there are voices heard on the beaches. Thai psychology say that it is simply a post traumatic stress disorder with the difficulty of acceptance of horrible death (Wilson, 2006), The British Prime Minister, Jack Straw even the US and French experts visited the areas and declared that it is now safe to visit Phuket Beaches in Thailand (Evans, 2008).
