Best Nightlife Areas in RCA in Bangkok, Thailand
The Royal City Avenue or RCA is one of the highly crowded landmarks and one of the best nightlife areas in Bangkok. It is one of the most recognized and barely legal places designated by the government zones for dance clubs, full moon party, rock and roll and live concerts. But one of the major attractions that popularized the RCA is their features of local and international singers and DJ performers gathered here every night and or during weekends. Party goers, backpackers and enthusiastic foreigners from different nationalities, young and old gathered around here every night (Williams, 2010).
Route 66 and Slim and Fix in Rama Road are just some of the best nightlife areas in RCA. They gained popularity among teenagers and university students for live shows, RnB music, dances and other light activities to make friends and socialize. Ztudio is one of the fastest rising clubs with Go-Go girls, full moon party, drinks and live music entertainment; they have huge and impressive entertainment hall featuring amazing neon lights for year round festivities. They already featured big names in local and international music industry, including Paul Van Dyk, Vinai etc., (Bangkok.com, 2015).
Since RCA’s best nightlife areas are situated between Rama Road and New Petchauburi Road, they must be prepared that the RCA Road is far from public transportation, but they are assured of their money’ s worth once they get there. However, the MRT and BTS train stations made it more accessible for new local and foreign tourists. From MRT, Pharam Road 9 station or from BTS, visitors have no choice but to take a taxi or a motorbike for about 50 to 60 Baht before they finally get to the RCA best nightlife areas (Discovery Thailand, 2015).
The good thing about RCA is that they have several nightclubs open seven nights a week as early as 7:00 pm to 2:00 am. For locals, there are free entrance night clubs while for foreigners, entrance fee is as low as 300 Baht redeemable to drinks. Customers are advised to bring ID to prove their legal age (Burke, et al, 2010). CNN reported that some of the venues in RCA simply come and go; customers can also visit the go-kart racing, movie houses and sports entertainment in RCA as part of the best nightlife areas in Bangkok (CNN. 2010).
