The Best Nightlife Areas in Orchard Road

The Majority of nightlife in the country is situated on the Orchard Road in Singapore; they have the best nightclubs, bars and restaurants while their basic advantage is that most of these bars and clubs have less or zero cover charge. There are also shopping complex around the Orchard Road. The Orchard Tower itself covers several bars with luxurious interior designs, most of them have a cozy seating in their bars and clubs, discos, live techno sound, music with DJ’s and live entertainment where multi-cultural groups of people including locals and expats gathered here to enjoy and relax (Singapore-guide.com, 2015).

The best nightlife in the Orchard Road includes the Hard Rock Café, a Western style bar with memorabilia where old and new rock music is being played. The Alley Bar is probably the most popular, with great interior design lounge and fancy dark corners. Another is the Club Sonar TAB, mostly full every day, it is basically the busiest in Orchard Road; they have discos, live concert, performers, best cocktails and signature drinks. For simple drinks and relaxation, the Elixir Bar at Kuvo, the Manhattan Bar and Horses Mouth are some of the hidden secrets in Orchard Road (Lynn, 2012).

Getting to the Orchard Road is easy, from Changi Airport, Singapore they can take the Metro Subway to Tana Merah, from Tana Merah, another they must take another subway going to the City hall. From here they need to take another train going to the Orchard Road. This will take around 35 to 40 minutes. For a more comfortable ride, they can also take the taxi from Changi Airport that goes directly to the Orchard Road, since there is not transfer required compared to the Subway, this will only take about 16 to 20 minutes (Rome2rio.com, 2015).

The best nightlife areas in Orchard Road open as early as 5:00 pm and end at around 2:00 am like the Alley Bar. Although there are several bars, clubs and disco in Orchard Road, visitors must be warned that it is basically illegal to drink liquor in the public places or even on the streets, cars or buses, but only in designated places like bars, clubs and restaurant. According to the Liquor Law, drinking can is only allowed if they have the permit. The penalty is $1000 to 2000 US dollars or three months imprisonment (Yi Han, 2015).
