The Best Nightlife Areas in Hong Chi Minh District 1
The District 1 of Hong Chi Minh or the former Saigon is the downtown and the site of some of the best nightlife areas and commercial establishment is mostly found in this district (Lao, 2003). They are highly dense district, especially in the historic places, temples, local markets, shops bars and major streets. One of their major strength is their close proximity to the Mekong Delta or the floating markets where goods are sold through boats; it is also one of the means of transportation within the districts (Holden & Metcalfe, 2009).

The Apocalypse now as one of the longest and most popular among backpackers and expat, they enjoy the music, party and fun while serving low priced drinks. Getting to the best nightlife areas of the Hong Chi Minh District 1, coming from Tan Son Nhat International Airport, the metered taxis are available at the left side of the terminal; this will cost around 150,000 up to 170,000 VND including the toll fee. The rate is mostly regulated based on time and distance; they can also use the popular public city bus number 152. This will directly take the visitors to the district 1 of downtown of Ho Chi Minh; this will only cost around 5,000 to 6,000 plus another 6,000 for the luggage (Tripadvisor.com, 2015).
The best nightlife areas in most districts of Ho Chi Minh have an irregular opening schedules because of the popularity of Bia Hoi, but most bars and clubs open around 6:00 pm to 800 pm and close till midnight.
