The Best Nightlife Areas in Kamala Beach
Kamala Beach is definitely one of the most beautiful scenery on Phuket Beaches with white sand, forest hills and fishing ground. Kamala is less popular compared to its neighboring beaches when it comes to foreign visitors and it also has lesser night spots, but it definitely has some of their own best nightlife areas that they can be proud of. It was among the most severely damaged by the 2004 tsunami, but it is now completely restored and among one of the fasting rising beach resorts in Phuket (Reyes, 2005).
Some of the best nightlife areas in Kamala beach include the huge Phuket Fantasea; it can occupy as much as 3000 seats, located in the northern end of Kamala, featuring the best cultural mix of music, dances, acrobats, elephant show and comedy entertainment. The newly built Kamala Beer Garden offers local and international dishes, cocktails and drinks at a reasonable price. The Vanilla style lounge in Cape Sienna offers a cocktail rooftop party while the Aussie Pub features a large screen TV broadcasting sports and entertainment; they also provide a pool table for visitors (Phuket.com, 2015).
Getting to Kamala Beach is fairly straightforward, from Phuket International Airport, there are regular taxis, and this will cost around130 Bath from 40 to 50 minutes travel time. If they want a more comfortable ride they can take a private vehicle, car or van. From the airport to Kamala Beach, but this will cost around 700 to 1200 Baht (Phuketshuttle.com, 2015). The cheapest option is the songthaew, this will cost only around 40 to 50 Baht per person, although they still have to wait for the bus to be filled, it departs every half an hour (Travelfish.org, 2015).
The best nightlife areas in Kamala Beach start as early as 5:00 pm and close at 2:00 pm, one of the most common travel warnings in Phuket Beaches is the Jetski and motorcycle rental scam. After it was uploaded on youtube, it has received international media attention. The trick is when returned, the manager will show anger, saying that the Jetski or motor is damaged or scratch, they will demand for penalty or compensation. It is highly advised to examine the Jetski or take a picture before hiring or better not hire at all (Holden & Morgan, 2013).
