The Best Nightlife Areas in Koh Tao, Koh Samui
The Koh Tao Island is the haven for scuba divers, not just in Thailand, but also all over the world; it is one of the biggest scuba diving centers in Koh Samui. It is also one of the most favorite places for past time and drinking with the famous bars as part of the best nightlife areas in Koh Tao; all these are highly attracting local and foreign travelers all over the little island. The Island is also famous as the breeding ground for turtles and hawksbill and other marine animals and beautiful sea corals (Donovan, 2015).
Some of the best nightlife areas in Koh Tao include The Sairee Beach that offers a beautiful Balinese style lounge, beachfront bars and restaurant, the Lotus Bar offer a fascinating fire dance that is gaining the attention of the crowd and the Fizz Bar that offers a funky hi-tech music (Travelfish, 2015). The Maya Bar provides a tasty food and beverages and local and International DJ’s and more (Brash et al, 2014). AC Party Pub, In Touch, Koh Tao and Pub Crawl are just some of the must-see wonderful bars for nightlife seekers.
It is basically not easy to travel in this Island. Coming from the Island of Koh Samui or Koh Phangan, taking the boat is the only one way to get to the best nightlife areas in Koh Tao since airport, train or bus is not available within the island. Visitors can also arrange an advance booking within the neighboring resorts available to eliminate the hassle of travel; they can also schedule a travel reservation online. Boats are also available in different parts of Koh Samui Island, including in Thong Sala and Lomprayah Catamaran (Kohtao.sawadee.com, 2015).
The best nightlife areas opening may vary as early as 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm and close around 12:00 am to 2:00 am (Kohtaosawadee.com, 2015). Visitors should also avoid the common bike rental scam, when a manager says that there is a scratch on the bike during their return. It is highly advised for scuba divers to use protective gear, not to drink and dive nor play with the baby turtles (Bluestone & Fernando, 2001). For those that have health problem must not forget to bring medicine, hospital is limited within the area that can put their health at risk.
