Business / It is better to be a leader than a follower
Introduction
This paper aims to discuss an argumentative topic between the significance of being a leader and a follower. It seeks to defend the truth from the statement on whether it is better to be a leader than to be a follower. This is basically an argument between the leader and the follower that generates an argumentative nature on which has the better responsibility. A leader is the upper hand of the operating institution or the group responsible for improving the image and the performance of other individuals. On the other hand, a follower means that it is a person who follows the upper class society or the influencer that has been creating a new way to improve its service or dignity. The discussion talks more about the influence that pass between the leader and the follower.
The answer to this argument is to truthfully state that a leader is better than the follower. The leader is responsible for initiating tasks and plans for the betterment of the whole group. In this case, the leaders are always the first persons to formulate new plans that can turn into action so that the followers will then implement throughout the activity. This means that the subordinates must follow the orders of their leaders in order for them to become highly valuable with their performances. The second reason is that leaders have been responsible for handling the performances of their subordinates. This is done through evaluation so that the followers become more responsible on following their tasks efficiently. This is why it is always better to be a leader because you are the decision maker (Hoyt & Blasovich, 2016).
On the other hand, followers claim that they are better than the leader. This is because the followers have a safe responsibility than their leaders that relates to a particular task. In this case, followers have a limited task to complete without taking the time to consider the performance of other followers within the group. The second reason is that a follower works as a separate and an independent entity. They are only allowed to follow one task at a time before proceeding to another task that has been ordered by their predecessor. This means that leaders are always the most important person in the company, which monitors the overall performance of their employees. After a task has already been accomplished, followers are free to end their shift and then go home to rest or attend personal affairs (Chin, 2015).
To refute this particular discussion, followers are always the underdog of this particular issue. This concludes that the leader is always the best than their followers. One of the main reasons is that leaders are responsible for creating a certain organization in order to establish a brand or a name. The leader has the power to represent their brand to other organizations because they are the key individuals who made and made the business or organization competitive. On the other hand, followers have limited powers to their communities. Followers are not allowed to spill their responsibilities without the consent of the leaders. They are basically hired by their leaders whenever there are shortages of staff to fulfill the responsibilities of the institution. As a result, the leader becomes the pioneer personality of the operating institution or organization (Singh & Rani, 2017).
