Introduction
Choosing a career in life is one of the most essential reflections that a person ought to consider while growing older. But when a person reaches their adult level, they are challenged to reconsider their aspirations in life due to a variety of factors. One is the interest and the other is the skill to explore new things that provides a comfortable way of enhancing a person of becoming a productive individual or a professional in the future. In this essay, comparing two different point of views enhances a person’s creativity and the desire to be that person to create a symbol that represents their passion. As a result, the person in that position enables the need to review the best possible career that values the interest as well as the performance of future roles and responsibilities in the future. This paper seeks to compare and contrast two different professions as it explores the similarities and differences of two career options, which are interior designing and nursing profession in the health care setting.
The comparison that can be applied with the interior designing to the nursing profession is the ability to provide care to the clients. Interior designing acknowledges the needs and the desires of their clients according to the artistic value and designs applied to the decorations and arrangement of their equipment, structure, and profession. However, the difference is the field of expertise, which is more with the construction design. Interior designing is concentrated on the physical appearance of indoors rather than taking care of the patients. The differences come with the goal of acknowledging the space, design, and the safety of the indoor structure, which plays an important role to ensure that the well-being of the constructed material is always designed to appear amusing in an artistic way and values.
For the nursing profession, the similarity is to convey nurture with the patients or clients so that their needs will be satisfied. Establishing a sound and acceptable rapport with the clients reveals an environment wherein the degree of trust is initiated and established between the two individuals, groups, or organization. As a result, the desire to improve the patient’s well-being is the main goal of every health care worker while working within the health care institution. The contrasting viewpoint of this discussion is that nurses are health care workers. They are currently employed in the medical field where they are tasked to care and nurture the needs of their patients. Nurses are not skilled to design internal structures a well as to design the productivity of the health care institution. Nurses are tasked to provide immediate care for the patients through therapeutic, management, and rehabilitative process to restore the patient’s health.
Implication
Choosing nursing profession is by far the most attainable option for me to start building up myself as a professional health care worker in the future. Assisting the needs of the patient through the initiative of the attending physician is a significant procedure to associate my profession someday. For this process, being accessible to professional conduct, career, and responsibility is expected to be applied in the health care setting. After obtaining a degree and license as a nurse, I can also take the advantage to cross enroll to my other passion, which is interior decorating. In this way, I can have both worlds by working as a full-time nurse and at the same time working as a part time internal decorator in the future. Taking one step at a time is the most efficient way to achieve your goals to satisfy your goals and aspirations in life (Moreno, 2010).
