The Best Nightlife Areas in Wan Chai
The Wan Chai is another famous nightlife area in Hong Kong that is also encouraging locals and tourists; they are also packed with bars, clubs and restaurants where customers can grab a drink and party or simply watch a live band and music entertainment. It is also the home of more British style pubs and bars with bar girls (Boland, 2015). The difference of the Wan Chai to the neighboring nightlife areas is their famous bars with topless clubs that customers can exchange elbows with more bar girls, they can also visit the famous art and shopping centers (Bailey, 2009).
The best nightlife areas in Wan Chai include, the Girly Bar on Lockhart Road, although they are old, they are still popular with their dancing bar girls. Getting to the best nightlife areas in Wan Chai from Hong Kong Airport, they can take the Metro Train going to Hong Kong Central Station. From here, they can take a few minute walk to the Wan Chai area. Alternatively, they can take the bus from the airport going to the Hong Kong Central, Stewart Road. From here they can take a few minute walk to Wan Chai. Taxi is also available as an option in the Hong Kong Airport to go directly to the Wan Chai area (Rome2rio.com, 2015).
The best nightlife areas openin vary from 6:00 pm while some bar close as late as 6:00 am like the Dusk till Dawn. It is highly recommended not to go out drinking alone in Wan Chai. According to the Hong Kong police from 2004 to 2007 there are 44 records of theft and robbery in Wan Chai, most of them are foreigners. The modus is that bar girls will encourage them to drink more beer and rob them when they are drunk. The minute they wake, they lost their wallet, cell phone and other belongings (Carney, 2011).
