The Best Night Life Areas in Ancient Town: Nguyen Thai Hoc Street in Hoi An
The Ancient Town in Hoi An, Nguyen Thai Hoc is part of the World Heritage, it is the home of the most unique historical landmarks, fine arts, crafts, ancient houses and museum. Because of its social and economic importance, it was revitalized and restored to encourage strong tourism. Homeowners are also given the privilege to establish their business related to heritage building (Galla, 2012). This also boosted the best nightlife areas in Hoi An; especially the easy access or walking distance to bars and clubs and the cheapest beers that are available for travelers (Hotels.com, 2015).
Nguyen Thai Hoc is filled with the best nightlife areas that they can be proud of including The Champa offers a wide selection of wine with cultural dance, games and cultural exhibitions for their customers. The Tam Tam is one of the most popular Upmarket with a wide selection of products and services. The Hai Scout Café is a unique combination of food and drinks, while artwork and handicrafts available. The Mango Rooms is the favorite among the expats and artists; there are also Green Chilli, Lounge Bar and more that increases tourism in Hoi An (Insight Guides, 2015).
Going to the best nightlife areas in Hoi An Ancient Town, from Danang Airport there are metered taxi that will cost around $20 to 25 US dollars or negotiation is possible for a fixed fare. Travelers can also hire shuttle service from Danang Airport to Ancient Town (IHG, 2015); this will cost around $18 to 20 US Dollars. They can also take the bus in Hoi An, either in D Hung Vuong or in Da Nang station. They can also hire a motorbike from Danang. From the ancient town, walking or motorbike is the usual mode of travel.
Most of the best nightlife areas open at 8:00 pm and closed at midnight to 2:00 am. Being one of the oldest and well respected town; it is generally safe to walk in Hoi An Ancient town, however, it is still highly advised not to walk alone late night when several cases of holdups, robbery and snatching happens, especially with drunk people going home. There are even cases of women’s assault, it is highly recommended, especially for foreigners to join groups when going home to eliminate such disturbing danger and annoyance (2009).
