The Best Nightlife Areas in Beach Road, Pattaya
The Beach Road is a shopping and business haven and a place for a family gathering at daytime, but as the night comes it becomes one of the best nightlife areas in Pattaya. Both the Pattay Beach Road and Jomtien Beach are divided by the Big Buddha hill at the center (Liedtke, 2010). The Beach Road, Walking Street and Sois Diamond have some of the most highly concentrated bars and clubs; there are more than 50 bars and clubs and in this Road, making it unsafe for children to bring them at night time (Nam, 2012).
The best nightlife areas in Beach Road and Walking Street and Sois have some the most populous Bars and Clubs that attract local and foreign visitors, including Red Car Bar, Mixx Discotheque, Pier Disco, Club Insomia that highlight disco, wild striptease, food and drinks, DJ’s, live shows, pool party, rooftop party and more. For those who want a lighter nightlife they can visit the Planet Beach Club that offers simple beach party, DJ’s, drinks and music while the Horizon Bar or Hard Rock Café, Cabaret Show that simple rooftop party, drinks and finest delicacies. The best nightlife areas can be reached from Bangkok Airport to Pattaya, they can choose Bus that cost less, around 100 to 117 Bath, or they can also take a Taxi or Car from Bangkok to Pattaya, but this costs a flat fare negotiation, depending on their budget. Sukhumvit Road is basically the main entry for passing the Pattaya Roads and Beach Road (CIS, 2011). From North, South and Central parts of Pattaya or in Walking Street, Klang and Second Road the least expensive mode of travel is walking to get to the Beach Road (Dobken, 2013).
Police may cut off or stop motorized vehicles at 7:00 pm to 1:00 am during the start and closing of the best nightlife areas that makes the Pattaya Beach Road a walking street, (Steinfat, 2002). Aside from the common sex tourism and pickpocket problem, according to the Pattaya Public Health and Environment Department, pollution is one of the biggest problems. Littering causes water and air pollution, they highly advised visitors to protect the environment by strictly eliminating litters, cigarette dropping and other sources of waste. A penalty of up to 2000 Baht will be enforced to offenders (Yoondorn, 2013).
