The Best Nightlife Areas in Patong Beach, Bangla Road
The Patong Beach on the west coast is truly one of the most beautiful Islands in Phuket and a highly concentrated entertainment center on Bangla Road. It is also considered as the best nightlife areas in Thailand, with several bars and clubs perfect for bar hopping and party, some of their Sois areas are dominated by discotheque and Go-Go bars with colorful neon lights and sounds. Because of the beauty of the Island and their abundant nightlife areas, they are able to gather large crowd, foreigners and backpackers (Eliot & Bockersteth, 1999).
Some of the best nightlife areas; bars and clubs in Patong, Bangla Road include the latest Tiger Disco; offering entertainment like girl hunting and live music. Another huge bar is the Soi Sea Dragon with 46 bars, shops and tattoo parlour with pretty young girls all around. The largest and the most modern in Patong beach is the Seduction Complex that can accommodate up to 3,000 visitors. They are complete with restaurant, lounge, dance floor, bars and rooftop party while Hard Rock Café in Patong Beach is suited for western rock music lovers, drinks and live entertainment (Phuket.com, 2015).
There are several ways to visit Patong Beach in Bangla Road, from Phuket Airport, there are metered taxis to Bangla Road; this can cost around 700 to 800 Baht. There are also regular buses in Phuket Town, or Private Car or Van that can transfer visitors to Bangla Road. From the Bangla Road in Patong Beach, they can hire a tuk tuk to stroll around until the end of Bangla Road to reach the beach. It is only possible to walk until they reach the end of Bangla Road where the Patong Beach is located (Phuket Holiday Guide, 2015).
The opening and closing of the best nightlife areas in Patong Beach vary from 6:00 to 10:00 pm and close from 2:00 to 4:00 am. It is highly advised that visitors must protect their belongings because of the large crowd the Patong Beach. Even in their best nightlife areas, there are synchronized thieves and pickpockets, along the crowd. Although during 2012, the government installed CCTV cameras for zero crimes in strategic locations on Patong Beach, but it is still limited to identify when or where untoward incident will occur (Sylvester, 2015).
