Week 1
Over the most recent years many researchers have worked on performance of different web servers and some others evaluated the DDoS attacks impact on web servers working routine. The increase in internet usage has forced cyber security companies to produce more sensitive systems besides traditional security methods. As a result, proactive cyber security systems such as network behavior analysis, machine learning, threat analysis are developed. Nowadays, IDS systems are one of the technologies that are frequently used to become more sensitive to cyber threats.
To analyze the performance of web servers and to get precise and right outcomes, both cluster-based web servers were implemented and configured in a real installation network. Furthermore, the NLB feature has installed and configured in both cluster nodes which is provided by Windows Server 2016. The unicast operation mode is selected for allowing periodic communication of cluster hosts from heartbeat messages. HTTP traffic is directed to the VIP address (Zeebaree, Jacksi, & Zebari, 2020). NLB driver identical copy is run in parallel on each cluster node to concurrently detect incoming traffic.
In Windows environment, two nodes of computer server are grouped as active/active clustered web servers. Furthermore, NLB feature has installed and configured in both cluster nodes which is provided by Windows Server 2016. The unicast operation mode is selected for allowing periodic communication of cluster hosts from heartbeat messages. Moreover, HTTP traffic is directed to the virtual IP (VIP) address or cluster primary IP which is assigned to all cluster nodes. NLB driver identical copy is run in parallel on each cluster node to concurrently detect incoming traffic and the drivers arrange on a single subnet for cluster nodes.
Week 2
Selected implementation of virtualization and complete virtual desktop solution should provide an enterprise mainly with cost savings, streamlining support of business goals and the consolidation of the enterprise IT infrastructure. Through the virtualization in particular enterprise the functioning of the infrastructure was optimized and therefore the resources were better allocated, financial as well as IT ones, computing resources and above all human resources.
In terms of solving the given issue and the whole project it was found out that the entire implementation is very sensitive to the proposed solution when if poorly chosen technical or other specification additional costs are generated. It may also lead to the extension of the entire project which also generates additional costs. Among such typical problems belong poor judgment of required available computational resources or lack of openness of possible further infrastructure expansion or undetected potential bottleneck solutions. The discussion and analysis provided solution design that comprehensively analyses the lowest elements of the infrastructure which can have a substantial effect on the solution and therefore, deal with networking, data storage, graphics performance and more.
An important factor is also the entire IT strategy and vision of infrastructure which both directly and indirectly affects the whole proposal. This strategy identifies additional needs of infrastructure and its openness to further expansion which is important for the whole existing analysis required resources and future needs.
