The Chaweng Beach is the largest Beach in the island of Koh Samui East Coast that also has the best nightlife areas with numerous A Go-Goo bars, restaurants clubs and disco. The nightlife in Chaweng Beach is highly active and travelers will surely enjoy the pristine places as well as the daytime aquatic sports activities and fine sand (Brown, 2013). Chaweng beach is definitely one of the best among the best for beaches for nightlife seekers and travelers, it is considered as party centers at night and paradise by day according to Tripadvisor.com (2015).
Some of the best nightlife areas in Chaweng Beach include The Reggae Pub offering original sound and Bob Marley style entertainment, DJ’s, beer, girls and pool tables. Another popular venue in Chaweng is the Green Mango with fully air-conditioned and well designed venue, aside from music and entertainment they feature Go-Go girls to accommodate customers with erotic dances. Another famous nightlife favorite place is the Mintbar, featuring local and international DJs. The Starz Cabaret that features transvestite shows and Q Bar for hipsters are just some of the best nightlife areas of Chaweng Beach (Hahn, 2012).
In Bangkok, there are several options to visit the Chaweng Beach, visitors can take the plane down to the Ko Samui Airport, and from there taking a taxi is just a few minutes away from Chaweng Beach. Alternatively, from Khao San Road, they can also travel by Bus and Ferry to Koh Samui, although this can take approximately around 12 hours. They should create a travel plan to ensure that they will not get short on their budget. It is also a good idea to buy tickets directly to official ticketing offices to avoid scams (Prose Theme, 2015).
The best nightlife areas in Chaweng Beach open as early as 5:00 pm and close around 1:00 to 2:00 pm. As an additional travel advice, taxi drivers in Koh Samui Island may presume that visitors going to Chaweng Beach are rich people, they may charge high fares. Make sure they flag down their rate rather than allow them to deal with a fixed price fare. They must also be careful about people selling time shares and real estate that have so called binding contracts and too good to be true promises to avoid huge scam (Samuithaivisa.com, 2011).
