The Ochheuteal Beach is also known as the UNTAC beach it has a handful of dirt cheap beach bars and almost identical restaurants. They also have the long umbrella decks and chairs along the stretch of the beach for outdoor and drinking activities; this is also perfect for the whole family. The beach has also gained the most popularity among foreigners and backpackers because of their cocktails, inexpensive beach barbeque, grill and party (Rough Guide, 2014). Getting to the best nightlife areas in the Ochheteaul Beach coming from the Sihanoukville Airport, the best and simplest mean of travel is still the taxi; this will only take around 25 to 30 minutes (Rome2rio.com, 2015). Alternatively, there are also buses going to the town proper of Sihanoukville, and from the town proper, they can also take the motorcycle taxi or Tuk-tuk. This ride can be found almost everywhere and it will take visitors nearer to the South Ocheteaul Beach. The Ochheuteal Beach can be considered as one of the best in the world because of their strong tourist attractions. However the US Embassy to Cambodia also made a travel warning to watch their children and belongings during very late night drinking and partying to avoid incidents of gang activities including the increased incidence of violence and drugs. This warning is based on the multiple stabbing; bag snatching and drink spiking that happened last July 2014 (Sony & Henderson, 2014).
