The Best Nightlife Areas in El Nido, Palawan
El Nido, Palawan is the pride of the Philippines; it is designated by the UNESCO as part of the Seven Wonders of the World because of its natural 24 kilometers cave with 8.2 kilometer underground river (Oxford Business Group, 2012). It is voted as one of the world most exotic Island (Kitching, 2014). The underground river has different species of marine life and spectacular range of flora and fauna. It is just like an obstacle course that can be explored by boat. This place is one of the most highly traveled places in the Philippines and in the world.
Some of the best nightlife areas include the Pukka Bar they offer live reggae, live band and beach party at an affordable price. The Art Café also offers live band, sports and entertainment while dining in the breezy air. The Coco Bar offer live band, fresh seafood and varieties of food and drinks. There are also several restaurants and bars that offer international cuisine; the Altrove offer the best Italian delicacies, the La Salangane offer French foods, the Lonesome Carabao offers the best Mexican foods while the Atmosphere offer the best cuisine combination in South Asia (Echapee Belle Inc, 2014).
Getting to the best nightlife areas in El Nido, from Manila, Busuanga or Puerto Princesa requires direct flight booking because of their limited twice travels weekly. They can also book their travel with the Atienza Shipping lines going to Palawan using boats in Manila to El Nido for more than an hour travel. This will cost around P2500 to 3000 pesos per person. There are also bus and jeepney from Roxas and Puerto Prinsesa going to El Nido. In El Nido town proper they can hire a van or car service to travel around the areas (Rowthorn & Bloom, 2006).
The best nightlife areas in El Nido are open are early as 6:00 pm while some of the bars and restaurant are closed around 12:00 midnight to 2:00 am. It is highly advised among foreigners and backpackers not to be engaged in any illegal fishing to protect the coral reefs. Furthermore, corals are very sensitive to easily kill some of its parts while some of the jellyfish and stonefish are poisonous. Allegedly, Gabriel Ruiz died in about 10 minutes because of stonefish (Xolxol.ph, 2015). When boating and swimming, they must prevent the coral areas.
