The Gaya Street, Formerly known as the Bond Street is a well known Central Commercial District in Kota Kinabalu, is open for their weekly activities held mostly on Sunday. For over a hundred years the Gaya Street has grown to become one of the most important parts of their tourism that encourages foreigners and direct investors. Large selections of goods are available on Gaya Street every Sunday, from food, vegetables, souvenir items, clothing and many other items. The best nightlife areas in Gaya, in Kota Kinabalu are mostly focused on foods, restaurants and limited bars and clubs (Hutton, 1997).
The best nightlife areas in Gaya Street include the Q Bar in Low Gaya Street visited mostly by straights and gays friendly customers.
